CONSENSE will train a new generation of professionals that will be able to apply and combine the opportunities offered by chemical biology, DNA nanotechnology, and optical detection technology to successfully develop next-generation biosensor technologies.
The CONSENSE training programme is based on a modular system that caters for the specific needs of early-stage researchers with varying backgrounds and different foci (biomolecular engineering, optical sensing, cell biology). It is aligned to the different requirements of the host institutions while fulfilling industry demands.
Local Training
All ESRs will receive local training in scientific, technical, and transferable skills in their host institution. ESRs hosted by private-sector partners will have access to the local courses of their PhD-awarding institution. The local training of the ESRs includes 4 key elements:
- Personalised research projects
- Structured PhD programmes
- Under-/Postgraduate teaching or supervision
- Local public engagement
Network-wide Training plan
Our consortium has planned a series of regular network-wide activities for the CONSENSE network and beyond, creating a framework for joint research and ESR training, mutual exchange, and ESR exposure to a wider audience.
